These groups drew support from those who felt uncomfortable in post war world, those suffering from unemployment or those fearful of Bolshevik revolt, from those believing in a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world and those dissatisfies with established political routines. Fascism served to offer a sense of purpose and community rooted in modern- often revolutionary-nationalism. Fascism attracted widely divergent opinions about its substance, there were problems. This could be one of the reasons it didn't root in Britain.
