Also the Saar, where all of Germany's coal mines were, (Germany's main source of income) was given to France as a way to pay back the damage done to their own land. This meant that Germany had now lost one of its biggest forms of income. Germany also lost all of its colonies, which were given to the League of Nations to be shared out amongst the 'Big Three'. This also made Germany weaker, because it left it with very few allies, when war would be called, it would have been able to make its colonies gather supplies and men , but with out those it looses control over seas and its power through Europe is much more contained.
