In 1933 the Catholic Church and the Nazis signed an agreement not to make comments on political matters as long as the Nazis didn't interfere with religion. Hitler didn't keep his promise and interfered more and more. The Catholic Youth movements were closed as they rivalled the Hitler Youth. Gangs proved to be a problem to the youth movements because boys aged 14-17 liked to beat up and hurt members of the Hitler Youth Movement. On the whole, the Nazis didn't get a lot of opposition. This was because if someone did oppose, they would be dealt with severely; being put in prison, beaten up on the streets, killed, or put in concentration camps.
