... message Home. Goebbels' most spectacular form of propaganda was the mass rally. The most famous of the rallies were held each year in Nuremberg. Goebbels was a brilliant organiser of propaganda, but he could not trust propaganda alone to win people over. Every kind of information and entertainment was censored. Jazz music was not allowed at dances because it had origins among the black people in America. Films were censored for all sort of reasons. People could not even say things against the Nazis in private. Complaining about the government was against the law. There were great public displays of Nazism to promote support. Posters and photographs of Hitler , together with swastika flags, were to be found all over Germany. Hitler was always portrayed as a strong and confident leader. When Hitler came to power , the German economy was in ruins as a result of the world depression ...
