I felt that my work interpreting Mackintosh's style worked a lot better as I could experiment more with shape and colour. I also started to collect magazine clippings of modern architecture, cars, and textiles. I became quite interesting in textiles and make-up art throughout the 20th century and hoped to include them in my final design. I started making designs for eyewear where I combined Mackintosh and Rietveld's work but they didn't seem to work. I then tried to combine art with the theatrical side of art and created a mask.
