... on average, the people of Britain are, themselves, very well off. Refugees cost the country just over £300 million a year, which is just £13 per taxpayer per year. For a country in the financial position Britain is in, £13 per person really isn't that much considering that last year £110 billion was spent on luxuries in Britain, and when you remember the thousands of lives this money helps to save. Secondly, the fact that "refugees have a negative effect on our society" is groundless and wrong. There is little to no evidence of this negative effect, most of the evidence comes from stories of small offences committed by asylum seekers, who know no better, blown out of proportion by right-wing newspapers, who assume its their civic duty to protect the land from this "swarm of foreign invaders".
