The source wasn't written until 1988, and we cannot be sure of whether the author's source of information was a reliable one. However, the source is backed up by the background knowledge I have of conflict and disharmony between host families and evacuees, and is from a textbook written for British schools so we can assume it is fairly reliable. Source E also relates to this, claiming that the evacuees had filthy habits and no manners, causing a social tension between host families and the children. It is a first-hand account written by the mother of a host family so can be said to be a reliable source of information.
