... replace the obligation on the skier/racer to be responsible for his/her own choice of equipment. Which basically means you can do what you like but it's not our fault if you get hurt. Also this can sometimes only apply to skiers when racing in tournaments, but our school made in compulsory to do so. Many of the students that had to wear the ridiculous things where not happy at all about having to do so, and verbally expressed their disgust at looking like a mushroom. I think the main opposition to the helmet rule is the whole skiing aura of looking good on the slopes rather than being embarrassed. I can however see the advantages of wearing a helmet, greater risks can be taken and the reason I enjoy skiing is the adrenaline rush you get when going fast and I suppose it's good to know that the most vital ...
