... the main IT support assistant was absent and so I was assigned a very repetitive, mundane and tedious task which was inputting data into a spreadsheet which would be used for all British Waterways offices across the U.K. I finished work at 5.30 p.m. and waited for a bus for 1 hour and when the bus came it was packed with people; to make it worse the bus was also in a traffic jam. I ended up getting home at 7.30pm. On day two I arrived at 8.30 again, and investigated duplicates of files from different offices in the U.K. This was another tedious and boring job which was very time consuming. I had a 1-hour lunch, which I used to meet up with my friends and discuss what their opinions of their work placements were like. I got back at 2.00 p.m. and had another tedious task to complete ...
