Organisational policies will regulate workers day to day relations with their service users. They should cover confidentiality and situations such as taking or giving gifts to or from service users. There should be policies on vulnerable service users, as well as service standards to inform workers and service users about expected standards and equal opportunities. Formal policies on equality, diversity and rights include legislation, such as the following: Mental Health act, Race Relations, Disability Discrimination act, Sex Discrimination act and the Human Rights act.
