... it would have. There was no going back now; we reached the point of no return. The journey to the Normandy beaches was of a feeling I had never felt before. It was simply just silent, the faces of other men were ghost like, and no one stirred but just sat there looking blankly and wondered at what was to come. Nobody had any idea, maybe they were scared, maybe they proud or maybe they thought that there time on earth was up and that this was there way out. But was this deserved? Did these men deserve this? In fact did the citizens of Britain deserve to loose a father, grandfather, cousin, son? Most likely not but nothing could be done about it. Is this our time?
