Employers also gained from the corporate state, they could control and bargain with the workers with no risk of strikes, as they were banned, and it also minimised the threat of communism. On the other hand, the corporate state could be viewed as a vehicle for the exercise of the party's control or for the personal ambitions of the leaders.
